Novapower has been working in the Renewable Energy sector since 2008. It currently owns and manages 12 photovoltaic plants, for a total installed peak power of 11 MW. Novapower is active across the whole value chain, from scouting and opportunity identification, up to the plant operations management. It pursues the maximization of the shareholder value, but always taking into account the context where it operates and accommodating the other stakeholders’ needs.
Novapower is headquartered in Fabriano, in the Marche, in Rovereto, in Trentino and in Milano, and tries to leverage local resources as much as possible. It is a Merloni Holding company. Merloni Holding, owned by the Merloni Family, is the majority shareholder of Ariston, one of the leading heating and thermic comfort players in the world, with about 7.000 employees, manufacturing facilities in 13 countries and a yearly turnover of more than 1,5 billion €.

Joining Merloni Group in 2018, he is currently Investment Director of Merloni Holding and Chairman of Thermowatt, a Group company. Previously, Carlo worked in Veolia in France from 2013 to 2018 (SVP Development, Innovation and Markets); in McKinsey&Company in Italy from 2000 to 2013 (Partner in the Energy sector) and in Jenbacher Energiesysteme from 1993 to 1998 (various positions in Austria, Italy and Spain). Carlo obtained an MBA at Insead (France) and a degree in mechanical engineering from the Polytechnic of Turin. He has two children with whom he loves sailing, going to the mountains and traveling. He is an amateur but passionate sculptor and fencer.

Sisto Merolla, Board Member. Within the Merloni Group since 2007, currently based in Switzerland as Service Marketing, Business Development and Operations Senior Director in Ariston Thermo. He has been Novapower CEO from 2011 to 2017, and previously Ariston Thermo Business Development and Strategic Planning Manager. Prior to that, he was a Manager in McKinsey&Co, leading operations and strategy projects for large industrial clients. He holds a Telecommunications Engineering Master of Science Summa cum Laude from the University of Naples (1996) and a Master in Business Administration with Distinction from the Harvard Business School (2002). He is married, with three children. In his spare time he produces and performs theatre shows for charity, and he is currently director and producer at Aur Bach School Musical in Cernusco sul Naviglio.
Marco Plebani, Asset & Business Development Manager. In Novapower since 2009, where in the past he managed the construction of the company’s photovoltaic plants as Project Manager. He is currently involved in asset management and in the development of new projects about renewable energy and energy efficiency. Graduated in Thermomechanical Engineering at the Università Politecnica delle Marche in 2009, in the same year he obtained the qualification to practice as an Engineer. Passionate about sports, in his youth he played football and skiing at regional and interregional levels. In his free time he loves traveling and dedicating himself to music, reading and (especially) cooking.
Giacomo Cingolani, Operations Manager. In the Merloni Group since 2009 and in Novapower since 2010, he initially managed the authorization, construction and connection of the MV grid connections serving all the power plants. Currently as Operations Manager he administrates the already operating plants and, as Project Manager, he runs the implementation process of new projects in the renewable energies area. He graduated in Science and Technologies for Eco-Sustainable Development in Camerino in 2006, in 2009 he was accredited as Energy Manager at ENEA in Bologna. In his spare time he loves to spend himself to cooking, gastronomy in general and music.
Carla Archinà, Administration Senior Specialist. In Novapower since 2022, she achieve degree in Business Administration and Control at the Università della Calabria in 2016. She began his career in the world of consultancy at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she worked as an auditor. She also gained experience in the field of administration by working in the finance department of a company belonging to the world of design. Currently holds the role of Administration Senior Specialist.
